An idle village Hotavlje is located in the middle of unpolluted Poljane valley underneath the mighty Blegoš (1562m above sea level).

The house where today stands Tourist farm Gorjup was built way back in 1841. For seven years, this farm was abandoned, until the Soklič family bought it. Because it was impossible for them to live here, they built themselves another house in the lower part of the valley. They started repairing the house and after five years of hard labour the farm got its own electricity, water supply from its own fountain and today's image.

Today, all that is left from the old house is the wooden ceiling; the rest of the house is totally new.
