Tourist farm Gorjup Bohinj


Bohinjska Bistrica is the largest settlement of the Bohinj municipality in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia. It is situated in the valley between the River Sava Bohinjka, the hills of Dobrava, Ajdovski Gradec and the streams of Bistrica and Belica. The main road leading to the railway station divides the settlement into the upper and lower parts, Zgornja Vas and Spodnja Vas.

Bohinjska Bistrica is an important tourist destination and an ideal starting point for trips to Črna Prst, Vogel, Komna and Ratitovec. Podjelje lies in upper Bohinj Valley with a lot of sun almost all year round and is the highest village in Bohinj. The tourist farm Gorjup is the highest lying farm in the village.

Getting there

Guests coming from Jože Pučnik Ljubljana Airport have to take the E61 Highway towards Bled and Jesenice. At Lesce, take the turning towards Bled. Once in Bled, drive downhill to the lake. Drive past the lake, passing Mlino Restaurant on the left and keep going up the road. At the first crossroad, turn left at the sign for Bohinjska Bistrica and continue along the road till the next crossroads, which has a board for Jereka. Here, turn right and drive up the hill. After a few minutes comes a small village with a church and signboard for the village of Podjelje. Turn left for Podjelje and drive approximately 3.7 km on the asphalt road till a causeway on the left is visible. Drive 250 m up the causeway to reach the farm.

Those coming from Austria (Klagenfurt) have to take the A2 Highway and then the A11/E61 towards the Karavanke Tunnel. At the end of the tunnel, at Jesenice in Slovenia, take the E61 Highway towards Ljubljana and Bled. Take the exit at Lesce for Bled.

Those coming from Italy (Trieste) have to take the A4/E70 towards Trieste and take the exit for Slovenia at Sezana. Take the A3 and then the A1/E61 towards Ljubljana. Once in Ljubljana, follow the A1/E61 to Ljubljana Sever and then towards Kranj. From there, follow the signs for Bled, and at Lesce, take the exit for Bled.

Getting there (local language)

Iz letališča Jože Pučnik Ljubljana se peljite po avtocesti E61 proti Bledu in Jesenicam. Pri Lescah zavijte na izvoz proti Bledu. Ko prispete na Bled, se spustite po hribu navzdol, mimo jezera in restavracije Mlino ter se peljite naprej po cesti. Pri prvem križišču zavijte levo pri smerokazu za Bohinjsko Bistrico. Nadaljujte po cesti 209 vsaj 20km. Na svoji desni boste zagledali znak za vas Jereka in pa leseno tablo, ki označuje sirarsko pot. Zavijte desno v smeri Pokljuke proti vasi Jereka. Po nekaj minutah boste prišli v vas, kjer bo na levi odcep za vas Podjelje ( na desni pa bo tabla za sirarsko pot ). Do zg.Podjelja je približno 3,7km asfaltne ceste, potem pa boste na levi strani zagledali makedam in po 250m boste prišli do kmetije Gorjup.

Če prihajate iz Avstrije ( Klagenfurt ), se peljite po avtocesti A2 n potem po A11/E61 proti tunelu Karavanke. Na koncu tunela na Jeseicah, zavijte na avtocesto E61 proti Ljubljan in Bledu.

Če prihajate iz Italije ( Trsta ) se peljite po A4/E70 proti Trstu in zavijte proti Sloveniji v Sežani. Potem zapeljite na avtocesto A3 in potem na A1/E61 proti Ljubljani. Ko prispete v Ljubljano, peljite po avtocesti A1/E61 smer Ljubljana-Sever in naprej proti Kranju. Od tam naprej, sledite znakom za Bled in pri Lescah zavijte proti Bledu.
