
From Peaks to the Sea of Slovenia

We begin with a climb through one of the plains of the Podgorski Karst, -- the Vremscica, Slavnik or Lipnik , then continue through the coastal town of Piran. Our adventure takes us further to explore the regional parks of Secovlie Salina and Debeli Rtic and the world famous underworld canyon Skocian Caves, listed as a Unesco World Heritage Site since 1986. Upon our return we will discover the secret of the disappearing Lake Cerknica.

Day 1: Ljubljana - Vremscica (Slavnik, Lipnik) -Piran
As we travel to the coast, we will encounter majestic peaks and dramatic alpine landscape. We'll then proceed toward Slavnik, Vremscica or Lipnik, and also discover the medieval city of Piran. Our day's journey will end in a small Karts village where we will spend the night.
Day 2: Slovenian coast - Nature park Secovlje Salina
We'll begin the day driving to the Slovenian coast where we will prepare for an optional dive, exploring the underwater sights of the Slovenian Sea (Cape Madona, Roman road, Fiesa, Letalo, Kec,...). If you'd prefer not to dive, you may also opt to enjoy the beautiful waters in a speedboat. The rest of the day, we'll spend a leisurely afternoon and evening in the Nature Park Secovlje Salina.
Day 3: Skocjan Caves - Lake Cerknica
On or final day, we'll spend the day walking through the fascinating underworld of the Skocian Caves, Before arriving to our final destination, Ljubjana, we'll make a stop at the at the curiously mysterious Lake Cerknica.
